Strawberries Romanoff

Recipe Ingredients

  Sauce
1 cup 237mlPlain non-fat yogurt
1/4 cup 40g / 1.4ozFirmly packed golden brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGround cinnamon
1 teaspoon 5mlVanilla extract
2 tablespoons 30mlStrawberry liqueur - (optional)
2   Fresh strawberries - hulled, and cut up
  Garnish
2 tablespoons 30mlPecan pieces - lightly toasted

Recipe Instructions

In a small bowl, whisk sauce ingredients until fully mixed. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to make the sauce slightly firm. Divide berries evenly into four dessert dishes. Spoon 1/4 cup sauce over each serving. Top with nuts and serve immediately.

Description: "This great dessert can also be served as a breakfast treat; just leave out the liqueur and top with crunchy whole-grain cereal. For flavor variety, try substituting other fresh fruit."
