Sorbet With Glazed Pear Slices

Recipe Ingredients

1 tablespoon 15mlMargarine
3 tablespoons 45mlSugar
3 tablespoons 45mlCored - peeled bosc pears, (medium) cut into 8 wedges
1/2 cup 118mlApple juice
2 cups 474mlFruit-flavored sorbet

Recipe Instructions

Melt margarine in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add sugar and pear wedges; cook 10 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Spoon pear mixture into a shallow dish; set aside.

Add apple juice to pan. Bring to a boil, and cook until reduced to 3 tablespoons, stirring frequently. Pour over pear mixture, and serve warm.

Yield: 6 servings (serving size: 4 pear wedges and 1/3 cup sorbet).
