Well Richard it's actually pretty easy as I recall. You just get some snow, mix it up with some milk or cream, stir in a little sugar, and add a tad of vanilla flavoring. You can substitute other flavorings like bananna or butter rum, but vanilla is more traditional 'cause that's all most folks had.

BTW, get your snow away from the area where you saw that squirrel 'cause wild animals don't have good manners. They will do the same thing in snow that fish do in water.
