Sleepy Butterscotch Bars

Recipe Ingredients

3 tablespoons 45mlMargarine
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozFirmly packed brown sugar
2 cups 474mlMiniature marshmallows
4 cups 640g / 22ozOven-toasted rice cereal
2 cups 80g / 2.8ozWhole wheat flake cereal
  Vegetable cooking spray

Recipe Instructions

Melt margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar; stir well. Add marshmallows; cook until marshmallows melt, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in cereals.

Press cereal mixture evenly into the bottom of a 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Let cool for 1 hour. Yield: 18 servings (serving size: 1 [3- x 2-inch] bar).
