Sleepy Butterscotch Bars Recipe - Cooking Index
| 3 tablespoons | 45ml | Margarine |
| 1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Firmly packed brown sugar |
| 2 cups | 474ml | Miniature marshmallows |
| 4 cups | 640g / 22oz | Oven-toasted rice cereal |
| 2 cups | 80g / 2.8oz | Whole wheat flake cereal |
| Vegetable cooking spray |
Melt margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar; stir well. Add marshmallows; cook until marshmallows melt, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in cereals.
Press cereal mixture evenly into the bottom of a 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Let cool for 1 hour. Yield: 18 servings (serving size: 1 [3- x 2-inch] bar).
