1 | Yellow onion - peeled, sliced thin | |
3 | Cucumbers - thinly sliced | |
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
1/2 cup | 118ml | White vinegar |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Celery, fennel, or mustard seed |
Salt - as desired |
Place onion and cucumber in a bowl. In a saucepan, combine salt (if desired), water, vinegar and sugar, heating slightly to dissolve sugar. Add seeds. Pour over onion and cucumber. Chill and serve.
