Walnut Pie Recipe - Cooking Index
5 | Egg whites | |
1 1/2 cups | 297g / 10oz | Sugar |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Baking powder |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Cracker crumbs, Saltine |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Vanilla |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Walnuts - finely chopped |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Margarine |
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar, baking powder, cracker crumbs, and vanilla. Mix well. Fold in walnuts. Grease pie plate with margarine. Pour mixture into pie plate and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees, until top splits. Cool and cover with wax paper. Cut into 10 slices.
