Raisin-Oatmeal Brownies Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Oats - quick-cooking rolled |
6 oz | 170g | Chocolate chips - semisweet |
6 tablespoons | 90ml | Butter or margarine |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar - packed |
2 | Eggs - large | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Flour - unbleached |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Raisins |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
Sprinkle 2 T of the oats over bottom of greased 9 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan; set aside. In saucepan melt chocolate and butter over low heat; stir constantly.
Remove from heat; blend in sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir together flour, remaining oats, raisins, soda and salt; stir into chocolate mixture. Spoon into prepared pan.
Bake at 325F. about 30 minutes. Cool; cut into bars.
Makes 24 brownies.
