Strawberry Pecan Bread Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Vegetable oil |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
2 | Egg whites | |
1 cup | 237ml | Strawberries - mashed |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | All-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking soda |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Vanilla |
1/4 cup | 36g / 1.3oz | Pecans - chopped |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat oil and sugar. Add egg whites and mashed strawberries; beat well. Sift dry ingredients; add to strawberry mixture with vanilla. Mix well and stir in nuts.
Pour into 9- by 5-inch loaf pan sprayed with vegetable oil spray. Bake for ?? minutes. Cool well and store overnight before slicing.
