Spinach Saute Recipe - Cooking Index
20 oz | 568g | Frozen chopped spinach |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Margarine |
2 | Garlic | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Skim milk |
1/3 cup | 13g / 0.5oz | Quaker Oat Bran cereal - uncooked |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Lemon pepper |
Thaw spinach, reserving liquid. In medium saucepan, melt margarine. Saute garlic 1 to 2 minutes. Add milk and oat bran cereal; stir 1 to 2 minutes or until thickened. Add spinach, reserved liquid, salt, nutmeg, and lemon pepper. Simmer about 10 minutes or until heated through.
Serving size is 1/2 cup.
