Spicy Brown Rice Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 474ml | Chicken broth - defatted |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Brown rice |
1 | Bay leaf - (or 2) | |
3 | Toabasco sauce | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Lemon juice |
1 | Tomato - peeled and chopped |
In a pot bring chicken broth to a boil. Add all ingredients except tomato. Lower heat and simmer approximately 45 to 60 minutes or until chicken broth is absorbed. Remove from heat. Stir in tomato and re-cover. Let cool slightly and serve.
Serving size is 1/2 cup.
