1 | Apple - unpeeled, cored and minced | |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Walnuts - finely chopped |
1 cup | 93g / 3.3oz | Almonds - finely chopped |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Hazelnuts - finely chopped |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Pistachio nuts - finely chopped |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Dates - finely chopped |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Raisins - finely chopped |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Ground ginger |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cinnamon |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Apple cider vinegar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sweet Passover wine - up to 2 |
In a large bowl, combine fruits and nuts. Add spices, vinegar and enough wine to bind the mixture. Transfer to a platter and shape into a pyramid. Cover with plastic wrap and chill well.
Note: They must have had BIG seders in Persia!
