Pear Custard Tart

Recipe Ingredients

  Pie crust - (9 inch), pre-baked
  For The Filling
3   Pear halves - (depending on size)
  (3 to 4)
2   Eggs
2 oz 56gCastor sugar
  Just under 1/2 pint milk
  Grated nutmeg

Recipe Instructions

Slice or fan (like avocado) the pear halves and arrange on base.

Heat the milk and sugar together until just boiling.

Pour into a bowl containing the two well beaten eggs and mix well.

Pour this mixture into the base and grate some nutmeg over the top.

Bake in a medium/hot oven (160/180 c) until the custard is set and the top is beginning to colour.

Serve hot or cold
