Pear Butter Recipe - Cooking Index
6 lbs | 2724g / 96oz | Pears |
4 cups | 792g / 27oz | Sugar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Vinegar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Lemon juice |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Orange juice |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Allspice |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cloves |
Peel and core pears, cut in quarters, and cook in vinegar and water until tender.
Puree in blender or food processor in small batches.
Add juices and spices, and cook until thick.
Seal in jars.
