Pickled Beets Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Sliced beets | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Vinegar |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Whole cloves |
1 | Cinnamon | |
1 | Bay leaf (small) |
Drain beets. Mix vinegar, sugar, salt, cloves, cinnamon, and bay leaf, and heat to dissolve sugar. Add beets to the liquid. Heat to just boiling and remove from heat. Refrigerate. Serve chilled.
Serving size is 1/2 cup.
