1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1 | Egg | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Water |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Flour |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking soda |
1 cup | 237ml | Oatmeal |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Raisins |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped Oregon hazelnuts |
Cream shortening; add sugars, vanilla, egg and water. Sift flour, salt and baking soda together; add to creamed mixture. Stir in oatmeal, raisins and hazelnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 375F for 10-12 minutes.
Yield: 3 to 4 dozen cookies.
