Oregon Hazelnut Meringue Bits

Recipe Ingredients

3   Egg whites
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlSalt
2 cups 396g / 13ozPowdered sugar
1/2 cup 73g / 2.6ozOregon hazelnuts - finely chopped
1/2 cup 55g / 1.9ozSemisweet chocolate morsels
1/3 cup 48g / 1.7ozSaltine cracker crumbs

Recipe Instructions

Beat egg whites and salt until very stiff.

Add sugar slowly and keep beating.

Fold in Oregon hazelnuts, chocolate and cracker crumbs.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake 13 to 15 minutes at 350F.
