Orange Creamsical Dessert Recipe - Cooking Index
2 | - - (3-ounces) orange gelatin | |
1 cup | 237ml | Boiling water |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Cold water |
2 | - - (3 1/2-ounce) instant, vanilla pudding/pie | |
2 cups | 474ml | Cold milk |
2 | - - (11-ounce) mandarin, oranges, drained | |
2 cups | 474ml | Prepared whipped topping |
Lime peel - for garnish |
In small bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in cold water. Chill until slightly thickened.
Prepare pudding according to package directions using milk. Reserve 5 mandarin oranges for garnish. Fold remaining mandarin oranges, thickened gelatin, and 1 cup whipped topping into prepared pudding. Pour into 6-cup ring mold. Chill 4 hours or until set.
To serve, unmold onto serving plate. Spoon remaining whipped topping in center of ring. Garnish with reserved mandarin oranges and lime peel. Cut into leaf shapes.
