Lentil No-Fat Soup Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Dried lentils - prewashed |
4 cups | 948ml | Water |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Diced celery |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Onion - diced (medium) |
1 cup | 110g / 3.9oz | Diced carrots |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Dried dill |
Salt - to taste | ||
Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. May be frozen.
Serving size is 1 1/2 cups.
