Noodle Pudding With Apples And Nuts Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Cooked broad noodles |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter |
3 | Eggs - separated | |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Cinnamon |
2 | Apples - sliced | |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Dried currants or raisins |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped nuts |
Boil noodles and drain. Heat butter in a skillet, add the noodles and cook just long enough to absorb the fat. Remove from heat, add beaten yolks, sugar, rest of ingredients and stiffly beaten egg whites. Place in a well-greased baking dish or sprayed with a non-stick spray such as Pam. Bake half an hour in a moderate oven, (350F). Serve hot with any dessert sauce.
