  Bottom Layer
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozButter
1/4 cup 49g / 1.7ozSugar - granulated
1/3 cup 36g / 1.3ozCocoa powder - unsweetened
1   Egg - beaten
1 3/4 cups 255g / 9ozGraham wafer cracker crumbs
1/2 cup 73g / 2.6ozNuts - finely chopped
1 cup 93g / 3.3ozCoconut - shredded
  Middle Layer
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozButter
3 tablespoons 45mlLight cream
2 tablespoons 30mlCustard powder - *
2 cups 396g / 13ozIcing sugar
  Top Layer
4 oz 113gSemisweet chocolate
2 tablespoons 30mlButter

Recipe Instructions

BOTTOM LAYER: In double boiler, melt butter, sugar and cocoa; add egg and cook until thickened. Add crumbs, nuts and coconut. Press into ungreased 9 inch square pan.

MIDDLE LAYER: Beat together butter, cream, custard powder and sugar; spread over base. Chill.

TOP LAYER: Melt chocolate with butter; cool slightly. Pour over second layer; chill. Cut into bars.
