Mixed Nut Bars Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 1/2 cups | 93g / 3.3oz | All-purpose flour |
| 3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Packed brown sugar |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | + 2 T. Cold butter or margarine - divided |
| 1 | Mixed nuts | |
| 1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Butterscotch chips |
| 1/2 cup | 164g / 5.8oz | Light corn syrup |
In a bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt.
Cut in 1/2 cup of butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press into a greased 13x9x2" baking pan.
Bake at 350F for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with nuts.
Melt butterscotch chips. Add corn syrup and remaining butter; mix well. Pour over nuts. Bake for 10 minutes more. Cool.
Yield: about 3 1/2 dozen bars.
