3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Sugar - up to 1 cup |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Vanilla - up to 1 tsp. |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cream of tartar - optional |
1 cup | 93g / 3.3oz | Crushed crackers or cereal - nuts, coconut, up to 3 |
Make meringue and fold in filler ingredient(s). You may use any combination of filler items.
Bake: 275F-300F 1 hour or less 325F-350F 1/2 hour or less 400-425F Turn off oven and leave meringue in until it cools
For 9" square pan user 4 egg whites. For 9"x13" loaf use 6 egg whites.
