Macadamia-Fudge Designer Brownies Recipe - Cooking Index
2 1/2 cups | 495g / 17oz | Sugar |
1 1/2 cups | 297g / 10oz | Butter or margarine |
5 | Unsweetened chocolate | |
6 | Eggs (large) | |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | All-purpose flour |
1 cup | 93g / 3.3oz | Coarsely chopped macadamias or almonds |
Fudge Frosting: | ||
1 cup | 237ml | Whipping cream |
12 | -- (1-ounce) semisweet chocolate | |
Garnish: chopped macadamias |
Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan; cook over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring often. Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes.
Stir in eggs, flour, and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 13- x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Pour Fudge Frosting over top; chill 15 minutes, and cut into squares.
Garnish, if desired. Makes 4 dozen.
FUDGE FROSTING: Heat whipping cream in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in chocolate until smooth. Remove from heat, and cool to room temperature. Makes 2-1/2 cups.
