Apple Oatmeal Bars Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | All-purpose flour |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Whole wheat flour |
1/3 cup | 53g / 1.9oz | Brown sugar |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Margarine |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Rolled oats |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Oat bran |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking soda |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Margarine |
2 1/2 cups | 592ml | Sliced apples |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, oat bran, baking soda, and brown sugar. Add margarine and oats, and cream until crumbly. Spread half of mixture in greased 7- by 10-inch pan. Arrange apple slices over it. Dot margarine on apples. Sprinkle sugar on top. Cover with remaining mixture. Bake 40 minutes. Cut into 2- by 2-inch squares while warm.
