Speaking of which, I recommend hot buttered rum for cold wet winter nights: Put a heaping spoonful of sugar and a pat of butter in a short glass, pour a couple of ounces of boiling water and stir until the butter's melted, add a couple of ounces of rum (preferably dark), and stir to mix. Cheers! (Of course all the alcohol boils off, right? So you can have a couple.)
