Honey Noodle Kugel Recipe - Cooking Index
8 oz | 227g | Medium noodles |
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter or margarine - melted |
4 | Eggs - lightly beaten | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Honey |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Raisins |
4 | Apples - coarsely grated | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground cinnamon |
Crisp topping | ||
1/3 cup | 48g / 1.7oz | Bread crumbs |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground cinnamon |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Honey |
Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and place in large bowl.
Add butter; mix well. Cool 10 minutes.
Add eggs, honey, raisins, apples, salt and cinnamon; mix well. Place noodle mixture in greased 9-inch square baking pan. Top with Crisp Topping and cover with foil.
Bake at 350F 50 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 to 15 minutes more or until browned on top.
Crisp Topping: Combine 1/3 cup bread crumbs and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon; mix well.
Drizzle 1/4 cup honey over mixture and stir until crumbs are coated.
Makes 1/3 cup.
