Greek Charoset Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Dates pitted and chopped |
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Raisins - chopped |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Sweet Passover wine |
4 oz | 113g | Walnuts - ground (1/4 cup) |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground ginger |
Place dates and raisins in a bowl and blend with the wine. Add the walnuts and ginger and blend well. Shape into a pyramid.* Cover with plastic wrap and chill.
Note: A couple of her charoset recipes call for this presentation. I've never seen it anyplace else. Is anyone familiar with it?
