Ginger Ice Cream Recipe - Cooking Index
1 | Vanilla ice cream | |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Candied or crystallized ginger - finely diced |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Fresh ginger juice and pulp - pressed or minced |
Toasted coconut or nuts for garnish - chopped |
1. Place ice cream in mixing bowl. Allow to soften slightly. Fold in candied ginger, ginger juice, and pulp.
2. Spoon mixture into freezer carton. Place plastic wrap directly on ice cream, then replace carton cover. Store in freezer for 2 to 4 days to develop flavor.
3. Serve with garnish, if desired.
* Timesaver Tip: Ice cream should be prepared several days in advance to develop flavor.
