Fruits In Madeira Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 474ml | Fresh pineapple chunks |
1 cup | 237ml | Cubed red-skinned pear - (1 medium) |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Coarsely chopped orange sections - (1 medium) |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Pomegranate seeds |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Madeira or dry sherry |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Powdered sugar |
1 cup | 237ml | Sliced banana - (2 medium) |
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a large, shallow dish.
Combine Madeira and sugar, and stir well; pour over fruit, and toss gently.
Cover and marinate in refrigerator for up to 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
