Fruit Crisp

Recipe Ingredients

3 cups 711mlApples - cooking; peeled, cored, and sliced
3 cups 711mlPears; peeled - cored, sliced
1 tablespoon 15mlLemon juice
5 tablespoons 75mlMargarine - nondairy
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozFlour - pastry, whole wheat
2/3 cup 41g / 1.4ozOats - rolled
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozSugar - brown or
1/2 cup 164g / 5.8ozMaple syrup granules
1 teaspoon 5mlCinnamon - ground
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlNutmeg - freshly ground
1/2 cup 73g / 2.6ozWalnuts - coarsely chopped

Recipe Instructions

Place fruit in an 8 1/2-inch round glass dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

In a large bowl, cut butte into flour with a pastry cutter. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples and pears.

Microwave, uncovered, on high for 11 to 13 minutes, or until fruit is tender, rotating twice.

Let stand until cool enough to serve. Serves 6-8.
