Fresh Fig Clafouti Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 1/2 cups | 219g / 7.7oz | Chopped fresh figs - (3/4 pounds) |
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
| 1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Firmly packed brown sugar |
| 6 tablespoons | 90ml | All-purpose flour |
| 1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
| 1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Plain low-fat yogurt |
| 3/4 cup | 177ml | 1% low-fat milk |
| 1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Brandy |
| 5 | Egg whites | |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Powdered sugar |
Place figs in a 2-quart baking dish coated with cooking spray; set aside.
Combine brown sugar and the next 6 ingredients in container of an electric blender; cover and process until smooth.
Pour mixture over figs.
Bake at 375F for 40 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil; bake an additional 15 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes; sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Yield: 10 servings (serving size: 1/2 cup).
