Emperor's Pears

Recipe Ingredients

1   Pepper
16 oz 454gPear halves in light syrup - (1 can) drained
  Vegetable cooking spray
1 teaspoon 5mlMargarine
1/4 cup 59mlChinese plum sauce
2 tablespoons 30mlOrange marmalade

Recipe Instructions

Sprinkle pepper over cut sides of pear halves; set aside.

Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; melt margarine in skillet over medium heat. Arrange pear halves, cut sides down, in skillet; cook 5 minutes or until golden.

Add plum sauce and marmalade; cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring gently to coat pears.

Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 2 pear halves).
