Emperor's Pears Recipe - Cooking Index

| 16 oz | 454g | Pear halves in light syrup - (1 can) drained |
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Margarine |
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Chinese plum sauce |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Orange marmalade |
Sprinkle pepper over cut sides of pear halves; set aside.
Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; melt margarine in skillet over medium heat. Arrange pear halves, cut sides down, in skillet; cook 5 minutes or until golden.
Add plum sauce and marmalade; cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring gently to coat pears.
Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 2 pear halves).
