Custard - Baked Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 cups | 474ml | Milk |
| 4 | Egg yolks - slightly beaten | |
| 1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Sugar |
| 1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Salt |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Flavoring |
Scald the milk in the top of a double boiler.
Stir in slowly the yolks, sugar and salt.
Place the custard over--not in--boiling water.
Stir it constantly until it begins to thicken.
As it cools, beat to release the steam.
Add flavoring before chilling thoroughly.
