Cookie Mix Recipe - Cooking Index
| 9 cups | 562g / 19oz | Flour |
| 3 1/4 cups | 520g / 18oz | Brown sugar |
| 2 1/2 cups | 495g / 17oz | Granulated sugar |
| 4 teaspoons | 20ml | Baking soda |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Salt |
| 4 cups | 792g / 27oz | Butter - margarine, or shortening |
1. In a large bowl combine flour, sugars, baking soda, and salt; stir to blend. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.
2. Store mix in one large bag or divide into four 4-3/4-cup portions. Mix made with butter or margarine can be stored in freezer up to 4 months. Mix made with shortening can be stored in cupboard up to 6 months.
Makes 2 large batches, 6 to 8 dozen cookies.
