1. Sift glutinous rice flour on table, pour in water slowly and knead into soft dough.
2. Sift wheat starch in a mixing bowl. Pour in boiling water and stir well immediately.
3. Knead both doughs together with sugar and lard. Mix well.
4. Steam 2/3 of dough for 15 minutes. Take out and knead together with the other 1/3.
5. Saute and grind peanuts. Mix in sugar and coconut flakes for filling.
6. Cut dough into 32 to 40 small pieces (depend on the size you want). Press and shape into small nests and fill each with filling. Draw edge together and shape to ball shape.
7. Put snow balls into steamer and steam for 3 minutes. Decorate each with a thin coating of coconut flakes and a piece of cherry.
Remark:
Any kind of sweet paste can be used for filling
