Citrus-And-Dried Fruit Compote

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 237mlWater
2/3 cup 131g / 4.6ozSugar
3/4 cup 109g / 3.8ozDried apricot halves
1/3 cup 20g / 0.7ozDried tart cherries
1/4 cup 40g / 1.4ozGolden raisins
2 cups 474mlPink grapefruit sections - (2 large)
2 cups 474mlOrange sections - (3 large)
1 teaspoon 5mlChopped fresh mint
  Fresh mint sprigs - (optional)

Recipe Instructions

Combine water and sugar in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Add apricots, cherries, and raisins; stir well. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.

Pour mixture into a bowl; let cool. Stir in grapefruit, oranges, and chopped mint.

Yield: 10 servings (serving size: 1/2 cup).

Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Serving Ideas : Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired.
