Citrus-And-Dried Fruit Compote Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Water |
2/3 cup | 131g / 4.6oz | Sugar |
3/4 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Dried apricot halves |
1/3 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Dried tart cherries |
1/4 cup | 40g / 1.4oz | Golden raisins |
2 cups | 474ml | Pink grapefruit sections - (2 large) |
2 cups | 474ml | Orange sections - (3 large) |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Chopped fresh mint |
Fresh mint sprigs - (optional) |
Combine water and sugar in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Add apricots, cherries, and raisins; stir well. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.
Pour mixture into a bowl; let cool. Stir in grapefruit, oranges, and chopped mint.
Yield: 10 servings (serving size: 1/2 cup).
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Serving Ideas : Garnish with mint sprigs, if desired.
