6 tablespoons | 90ml | Butter or margarine - softened |
2/3 cup | 131g / 4.6oz | Sugar |
2 | Eggs - large | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Milk |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Flour - unbleached |
1 | Chocolate pudding mix - * | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Nuts - chopped |
1 | Powdered sugar |
* Chocolate pudding should be a 3 3/4 to 4 oz package of REGULAR pudding mix.
Cream butter and sugar. Blend in eggs, milk, and vanilla. Stir together flour, pudding mix, baking powder, and salt. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool. Sift powdered sugar over top, if desired. Cut into bars.
Makes 24 brownies.
