Cherry Hazelnut Balls Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Butter or margarine - softened |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Confectioners' sugar |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Sifted all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Roasted and finely chopped Oregon hazelnut |
1 | Red maraschino cherries - drained and chopped | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Vanilla |
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add flour and salt; blend thoroughly. Stir in hazelnuts, cherries and vanilla; chill. Shape into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in a 275 oven for 30 minutes, or until cookies are lightly browned.
