1 teaspoon | 5ml | Baking soda |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 cup | 237ml | Oil |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Vanilla |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Bananas - diced (2 medium) |
1 cup | 237ml | Walnuts |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Maraschino cherries - halved |
3 | Eggs - slightly beaten | |
8 oz | 227g | Crushed pineapple - undrained |
Glaze | ||
1/4 cup | 49g / 1.7oz | Butter or margarine - soften |
1 1/2 cups | 297g / 10oz | Powdered sugar |
1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Warm water |
Bars: Grease and flour a 10x15 jelly roll pan. Spoon the flour lightly into a cup and measure off. In a large bowl combine all ingredients and stir until blended. Spread in pan. Bake 30-40 minutes in a preheated 350oF oven until toothpick comes out clean.
Glaze: Combine all ingredients and add enough milk to make a spreading constituency.
Take bars out and spread with glaze. Let cool and cut into 48 bars. Store in the refrigerator.
