Buttercream Frosting Recipe - Cooking Index
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Stick margarine or butter - softened |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Nonfat cream cheese - softened |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Vanilla extract |
1 | Salt | |
17 oz | 483g | Sifted powdered sugar - (4 1/2 cups) |
5 teaspoons | 25ml | Skim milk |
Cream margarine and cream cheese at medium speed of a mixer until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and salt; beat well. Gradually add sugar and milk, beating at low speed. Increase speed to high, and beat until well-blended and spreadable. Yield: 2 cups.
