Brownie Pudding - Ed Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Flour |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cocoa |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Vanilla |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Melted shortening |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Chopped walnuts |
Topping; | ||
3/4 cup | 120g / 4.2oz | Brown sugar |
1/4 cup | 27g / 1oz | Cocoa |
1 3/4 cups | 414ml | Hot water |
Sift flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and cocoa. Add milk, vanilla and shortening. Add nut meats. Pour into greased 8' square pan.
TOPPING: Mix brown sugar and cocoa and sprinkle over the top of batter. Pour hot water over all.
Bake at 350F for 40-45 minutes. Great served with vanilla ice cream esp. French Vanilla.
