Besan Burfi Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 237ml | Besan |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Shortening |
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
4 | Seeds cardamom | |
Nuts - (optional) |
1. melt shortening in a pan.
2. Turn down heat and add cardamom and Besan.
3. Fry, stirring constantly to prevent burning until it has changed color to brown and smells done. (Test: a few drops of water sprinkled on it splutters instantly).
4. Turn off heat and stir in sugar.
5. Spread on a platter 1/2" thick.
6. Cut into diamond shapes after it has cooled down.
