Baked Mincemeat Pears Recipe - Cooking Index
1 can | Pear halves | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cornstarch |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Nutmeg |
1 cup | 328g / 11oz | Syrup - drained from the pears |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lemon juice |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Mincemeat |
Drain pear halves, reserving 1 cup syrup. Combine cornstarch and nutmeg in saucepan, add syrup. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in butter or margarine and lemon juice. Place pear halves, cut side up, in baking dish; fill centers with mincemeat. Pour nutmeg sauce over all. Bake for 15 minutes at 350. Serve warm.
