Apple Wedges Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Flour |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Orange extract - (optional) |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
2 cups | 474ml | Apples - pared, cored and fin |
4 | Eggs whites |
Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and orange extract until frothy. Add sugar to the egg mixture and then add the flour. Stir to mix. The dough will be a little stiff. Add the apples and the raisins. Mix well.
Pour the mixture into a round pie pan. You can spray the pie pan with oil or not. I have tried both. It sticks a little bit if you don't spray it. Bake at 325F until the top browns or toothpick inserted in middle of pie comes out clean.
