6 | Apples - sliced thin | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lemon juice |
1/3 cup | 65g / 2.3oz | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Ginger |
4 cups | 948ml | Sponge cake - in small cubes |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Margarine - melted |
Mix apples with lemon juice, sugar and spices. Toss cake cubes with margarine. Put 1/3 of cake in greased 8"x12" dish, top with half of apples. Repeat. Top with remaining cubes. Cover and bake 30 minutes. at 375F. Uncover and bake 30 Minutes. more.
