Almond Chess Squares Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 1/2 cups | 495g / 17oz | Sifted powdered sugar | 
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Reduced-calorie margarine - melted | 
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Water | 
| 1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Almond extract | 
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Imitation butter flavoring | 
| 3 | Egg whites | |
| 1 | Egg | |
| 18 1/4 oz | 518g | Light yellow cake mix | 
| 8 oz | 227g | Nonfat cream cheese - softened | 
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Powdered sugar | 
Combine first 9 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of a mixer until smooth. Pour batter into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until golden.
Let cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons powdered sugar.
