Almond Chess Squares

Recipe Ingredients

2 1/2 cups 495g / 17ozSifted powdered sugar
1/2 cup 99g / 3.5ozReduced-calorie margarine - melted
1 tablespoon 15mlWater
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlAlmond extract
1 teaspoon 5mlImitation butter flavoring
3   Egg whites
1   Egg
18 1/4 oz 518gLight yellow cake mix
8 oz 227gNonfat cream cheese - softened
  Vegetable cooking spray
2 teaspoons 10mlPowdered sugar

Recipe Instructions

Combine first 9 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of a mixer until smooth.  Pour batter into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray.  Bake at 350F for 45 minutes or until golden.

Let cool completely in pan on a wire rack.  Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons powdered sugar.
