Turtle Cake Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 | German chocolate cake mix | |
| 1 | Caramels - unwrapped | |
| 5 oz | 142g | Evaporated milk |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Butter or margarine |
| 1 | Semisweet chocolate chips | |
| 1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Pecans - chopped |
Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare cake mix according to package instructions. Pour half of batter into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 15 minutes. While cake is baking, melt caramels with milk and butter or double boiler, stirring until smooth. Slowly pour caramel mixture over partially baked crust. Spread evenly.

Sprinkle chips and 1/2 cup of pecans over caramel mixture. Pour remaining cake batter over top, spreading evenly. Sprinkle with remaining pecans. Bake 30 minutes or until center is set. Cool before slicing. Pampered Chef Favorites II.
