Tomato Bacon Squares Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Pepper - seeded, chopped (medium) |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Onion - chopped (small) |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Tomatoes - chopped (medium) |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Bacon bits |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dried basil |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Garlic powder |
3/4 cup | 109g / 3.8oz | Swiss cheese - grated |
1 | Refrigerated french bread dough | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Mayonnaise |
Preheat oven to 350°. Coarsely chop pepper and onion. Mix pepper, onion and tomatoes with bacon bits, basil and garlic powder; set aside. Grate cheese.

Unroll bread dough and press into bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Roll dough 1/4" up sides to form a rim. Trim excess dough and discard. Spread dough with mayonnaise. Sprinkle with vegetable mixture and top with grated cheese. Bake 30 minutes or until lightly puffed and golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Cut into 24 squares. Pampered Chef Favorites II.
