Prune Stuffing  (for a 6- to 8-lb goose) Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Dried prunes | 
| (or half prunes and half apricots) | ||
| 1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Water | 
| 5 cups | 730g / 25oz | Seasoned dry bread crumbs | 
| 3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Melted butter | 
| 1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | Chopped green pepper or celery | 
| (or a mixture of the two) | 
Bring dried fruit and water to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Drain, reserving the liquid. Pit and cut fruit into 1/2-inch bits. Combine with crumbs, butter, green pepper, and celery, and moisten with just enough of the reserved liquid to hold together.
