Pilaf With Currants And Pine Nuts Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | Long-grain rice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter or margarine |
1 | Condensed beef broth - (10 oz) | |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Water |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Currants |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Pine nuts - toasted |
In a 10-inch skillet, cook and stir rice in margarine or butter over medium heat until lightly browned. Carefully add broth, water and currants. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
Transfer to serving dish and sprinkle with nuts.
